It was revealed that the victim is currently residing with her relatives and had not reported the matter to the authorities.Neighbors of the accused have described him as an alcoholic who frequently assaulted his wife. They also mentioned that Meghwal prevented his wife from communicating with anyone in the village. Assistant sub-inspector Surendra Kumar from Panchaudi police station stated that further investigations into the case are ongoing.
