At the Paris Games in July-August this year, Manu created history by becoming the first female shooter from India to win a medal at the Olympics when she won the women’s 10m air pistol bronze medal. The 22-year-old went on to create another record by becoming the first Indian post-independence to win two medals at the same edition of the Olympics, when she partnered Sarabjot Singh to win the air pistol mixed team bronze medal.
